Fraser Crowe’s design team care a lot about textiles. We also care about the planet. While all our garments contain a detailed Care Label with international coding for each step of full laundering, we encourage customers to consider not over laundering.
All our garments are designed for wearing in a way that reduces the need for laundering. In most cases fabric items can be refreshed simply by hanging in gentle airflow.
If an accidental spill occurs, we recommend spot cleaning with a small amount of water followed by air drying the garment. As direct sunlight can fade textiles, we recommend if hanging your garments outside, that you turn them inside out.
Silk was our first choice for this style because of its beautiful drape and handle. Silk has natural temperature-regulating properties allowing it to be cool in summer yet provides a warm layer as the climate cools. This layer was functionally teamed with Rayon Viscose and designed to lessen the need for laundering.
If laundering is required we recommend gentle hand-washing in cool water, with wool flakes (or other delicate wash powder). Do not soak or bleach as this will affect the intensity of the colour. Rinse thoroughly and remove excess water by placing the rolled garment in your washer on a gentle spin or roll the item in a towel to remove excess water then lay flat to reshape. It’s best to dry the garment flat and away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. Use a cool iron on reverse side of Silk print and Rayon Viscose to return them to their original shape. This garment is drycleanable with care.
