Fraser Crowe’s design team care a lot about textiles. We also care about the planet. While all our garments contain a detailed Care Label with international coding for each step of full laundering, we encourage customers to consider not over laundering.
All our garments are designed for wearing in a way that reduces the need for laundering. In most cases fabric items can be refreshed simply by hanging in gentle airflow.
If an accidental spill occurs, we recommend spot cleaning with a small amount of water followed by air drying the garment. As direct sunlight can fade textiles, we recommend if hanging your garments outside, that you turn them inside out.
We chose Rayon Viscose for this style because of its beautiful drape and handle. It is the super soft equivalent of silk. Beneficially Rayon Viscose is comfortable to wear, breathable and resists odour retention. This means more wears before washing, and less washing is always an eco bonus!
Rayon Viscose fibres can elongate with gravity and wear, but shrink back when immersed in water. We recommend gentle hand-washing in cool water, with wool flakes (or other delicate wash powder), rinsing thoroughly and removing excess water by placing the rolled garment in your washer on a gentle spin or roll the item in a towel to remove excess water then lay flat to reshape. It’s best to dry the garment flat and away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. A cool iron on reverse side will relax the Rayon Viscose fibres and return them to their original shape. This garment is drycleanable.
